What it checks
Applicant tracking systems turn your PDF into plain text before anyone reads it. The checker does the same, with the PDF.js library in your browser, then scores how much of your resume survives: 0 to 100, from how reliably the text comes out, not from your chances of getting the job.
- Readability
- Whether software can recover the words at all.
- Layout
- Whether the page geometry preserves reading order.
- Sections
- Whether the resume is segmented the way software expects.
- Contact details
- Whether a recruiter can reach you.
- Dates
- Whether your timeline can be reconstructed.
- Writing
- Advice for the person reading it. None of this affects the score.
